Informative, hands-on training for your K9 team

A seminar is typically a 1 or 2 day event with multiple instructors. Seminar days are usually 8 hours long. Several elements such as vehicles, exteriors, interiors, or containers may be discussed and trained. Normal attendance is 24 to 30 working teams. These spots tend to fill up quick, so please claim yours below.

Human Remains Detection (HRD) all day seminar, Saturday July 18, 2020 at the premiere law enforcement and military training facility - Strategic Operations in San Diego! This seminar is exclusively for HRD K9 teams only and we will have use of the entire facility! This seminar will focus on observing your dogs Changes of Behavior (CoB) and Trained Final Response (TFR) in both area and interior searches. Handlers will articulate the CoB’s being observed and report any finding to the search manager. Controlled Negatives (blank areas), threshold source placement, and multiple sources in a search area will be included. All Teams will receive feedback sheets and are welcome to record video of their searches for personal review and critique. Instructor- Pete Stevens **** All required safety COVID 19 protocols while be in place. Because of the continuous changing of said protocols, they will be determined at the time of the event****

Please join us for a Live Coaching 1 day seminar with all 4 Elements - Interior, Exterior, Containers, and Vehicles elements at Strategic Operations, the premier law enforcement and military training facility in San Diego ! Live Coaching means you decide how you want to run the searches to meet your current training needs. You can run searches with known amount and/or location of hides. Maybe you want to focus leash handling or reading your dog. You can even run the searches "blind" with the life line option where we only intervene if needed. All of the elements have their own difficulties and some in common. Your instructors, Pete Stevens and Kevin Olin, have done hundreds of sniffs for drugs and bad guys will pass on their years as a narcotics interdiction and patrol K9 handler experience as teams are put to the test in fun searches meant to enhance your skills. The searches will be challenging but designed for learning and success of the team! Interior searches may have varying amounts of odor and be put strategic places to keep your dog working. These searches will be challenging but we will be right with you to work through it! This will be a working lunch so be sure to bring something and it will most likely be hot so come prepared and be trial ready! *** All COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place. Our seminars and are ready to hit the road and we are more than willing to do so. Hosts are required to find a suitable training venue that meets the needs of the desired goals. Schools (both public and private), large buildings with offices, or a large warehouse are great venues for hosting a seminar.
